ANTON ANDREW ANNOUNCES THE START OF HIS ELECTION CAMPAIGN FOR THE 160th DISTRICT
Kennett Square, PA Anton Andrew announced today that he will seek election to the State House of Representatives. Andrew will be seeking to unseat Republican incumbent Stephen Barrar representing the 160th district which covers the Kennett Square, Pocopson, Chadds Ford, Bethel, etc.)
"Pennsylvania faces many challenges. From the structural (budget) deficit; to underfunded public schools and skyrocketing property taxes; to our ailing infrastructure which compromises our safety and quality of life while leaving us economically vulnerable; to inadequate protection for the land, air and water, and an ongoing opioid addiction crisis," said Andrew. "I believe we need to make strategic investments to tackle these challenges both now and in the short term. This is the responsible thing to do both fiscally and socially and it will pay off for all of us and for future generations of Pennsylvania.."
Andrew plans to build on a more than 20 years as a successful trial attorney, educator, and executive in organizations, primarily serving poor and working class families. He's developed alternatives to incarceration for non-violent juvenile offenders, launched and led a successful incubator for small, minority and women-owned businesses on the campus of the nation's oldest Historically Black College or University and served on the boards of several local and regional environmental and educational non-profits (including The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County and Open Connections, 'a school for homeschoolers', in Newtown Square, where he's served as an instructor and Board Chair)
"I will fight for our community, our children and all Pennsylvania taxpayers by not shrinking from the difficult decisions that need to be made to ensure our future,continuing to fight for the residents of the 160th district and our Commonwealth," concluded Andrew.
